Abstract

[4-¹⁴C]Ergosterol has been prepared from ergosta-4,22-dien-3-one via 4-oxaergosta-5,22-dien-3-one; the intermediate [4-¹⁴C]ergosta-4,22-dien-3-one has been converted into [4-¹⁴C]ergocalciferol.
