New Proton-Rich Nuclei in the $1 f_{\frac{7}{2}}$ Shell

Abstract

We have measured the masses of

{}^{43}{Ti}

and of the previously unknown nuclei

{}^{47}{Cr}

,

{}^{51}{Fe}

, and

{}^{55}{Ni}

. These proton-rich members of

1 f_{\frac{7}{2}}

-shell mirror pairs are important for extensions of nuclear mass relationships to the

Z > N

region.
