Abstract
The size of the ultrasonic beam and beam dispersion severely limit resolution by two-dimensional scanning systems. Resoluti and tissue penetration are improved by using a highly focused, ultrasonic transducer array in conjunction with an electronic timing system for the selection of particular echo information. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
