Abstract
The bursa copulatrix of female boll weevils, Anthonomous grandis Boheman, distended greatly and occupied nearly the entire abdomen due to repeated inseminations when held with 20 or 40 ♂. Longevity of females held, with 20 or 40 ♂ was ca. ¼, or less than when 1 ♀ was held with 1 ♂. Fecundity of a female held with 10 or more males was significantly less than that of a female held with 1 ♂.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
