Abstract
The arachnoidal reflections over the pontine and interpeduncular cisterns and the location of the cranial nerves in this region are described and illustrated. An obliquely placed curtain-like transverse membrane is found stretched between the oculomotor nerves. It is postulated that this membrane forms a barrier which retains Pantopaque behind it. The conditions under which Pantopaque enters the interpeduncular cistern and flows into the cranial cavity are considered. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
