Abstract
Pure bilirubin is non-toxic. The toxicity of the bile is due to its content of the cholate radical. The order of decreasing toxicity of the bile acids tested on dogs, guinea pigs and frogs is (1) choleic, (2) desoxycholic, (3) glycocholic and cholic acids. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
