Abstract
Adults were swept from alfalfa in Oct. and stored at 40[degree]F. As eggs were needed, adults were confined in an oviposition chamber set over a funnel at room temperature. Eggs were incubated 7 days and then brushed onto soil around potted plants in which holes had previously been made to guide hatching larvae to the roots. Pots were wrapped in aluminum foil, watered sparingly and held in the greenhouse at 60[degree]-65[degree]F for 45 days. This method for obtaining larvae gave a 25% survival from eggs to half-grown larvae. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
