Abstract
A case of occupational photodermatitis induced by quinine sulfate is reported. A photobiologic investigation disclosed the responsible photoallergen, demonstrated the mechanism to be of the photoallergic type, and proved the active rays to be mostly UVA. It seems that this is not a contact photodermatitis, but an internal photosensitization induced by absorption or inhalation of quinine powder. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
