Abstract
Interviews with seventy-five parents of surviving children with cancer provide information on their relations with medical staff. The major issues that concern parents in regard to staff members include the staff's empathy with the child and their acceptance of parental participation in care. Discussion centers on how these and other issues affect parent-staff relations. Keywords
