Abstract
Triphenyltin t-butyl peroxide adds to alkyl isocyanates to yield crystalline t-butyl N-alkyl-N-triphenylstannyl-peroxycarbamates, Ph3Sn·NR·CO·O·OBut, a new family of organic peroxides. The introduction of the organotin group considerably reduces the stability of the peroxycarbamate. The ready decomposition of the corresponding N-tributylstannyl compounds in carbon tetrachloride solution is described; it involves homolytic attack at tin with displacement of a butyl radical, or homolytic abstraction of a hydrogen atom from a butyl group. Keywords
