Abstract
This essay offers a preliminary analysis of the relationships between supervisors’ choices of modes of managing conflicts and their perceptions of the power relationships which exist between themselves and their subordinates and of the quality of their subordinates’ performance. Supervisors’ perceptions of their own managerial skill differentiated cases in which they selected autocratic strategies from those in which they employed other approaches.Keywords
