Abstract
How do women bridge the gap between their masturbatory experience and sex with a partner? The results of a magazine questionnaire among young Dutch women indicate specific relationships between the techniques they use in masturbation and the techniques they use during sex with a partner. However, many of the women with masturbatory experience still do not orgasm regularly during sex with their partner and during coitus. Several reasons why this is so are explored. Possible implications for therapy with anorgasmic women are discussed. Keywords
