Abstract
The ν3 band of SeF6 is studied at a low rotational and vibrational temperature using a tunable diode laser. Infrared absorption in pulsed supersonic free jet of SeF6 is observed by phase sensitive detection synchronized with the pulse frequency. Vibration‐rotational lines of five isotopic species, 82SeF6, 80SeF6, 78SeF6, 77SeF6, and 76SeF6, are measured between 776 and 790 cm−1 with a Doppler‐limit resolution. Five molecular constants, ν3, B3, Bζ3, α220, and α224 are determined for each isotopic species. Isotope shift for the ν3 band is determined to be −1.61 cm−1/amu.Keywords
