Abstract
In acute experiments on anesthetized dogs, the effects of intravenous and intraportal injections of secretin were compared. In most tests, intravenous injection stimulated pancreatic secretin more than intraportal injection. After intravenous injection of secretin labelled with I131, most activity was found in the liver and very little in the pancreas. Keywords
