Abstract
Antifungal constituents in Betula cortex were examined. Nine active principles were isolated by a suitable combination of column chromatography over alumina or silica gel; they were identical with paeonol, antiarolaldehyde, vanillin, syringaldehyde, 2-hydroxy-5-(3-hydroxybutyl)benzaldehyde, methyl syringate, methyl vanillate and 2,6-dimethoxy-p-benzoquinone.Keywords
