Abstract
Asymmetric enlargement of the right adnexa in a prepubertal, asymptomatic, 7-year-old girl with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) was detected by pelvic sonography as part of examinations after the discontinuation of therapy. The case is the first where asymptomatic ovarian relapse has been detected prospectively by sonography. The technique should be considered for the follow-up female patients with ALL in remission, although more extensive studies are needed to establish its effectiveness. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
