Abstract
The critical behavior of the fully frustrated XY model on a triangular and square lattice is investigated by Monte Carlo simulations. From a finite-size-scaling analysis we determine the critical exponents associated with the chirality order parameter. Contrary to previous simulations, we find the exponents to be inconsistent with the pure Ising values. We argue that these results are in favor of a single transition in a new universality class. Keywords
