Abstract
Summary Twenty-three patients with systemic lupus erythematosus who had had one or more spontaneous abortions or intra-uterine deaths were studied retrospectively and compared with a control group. An association was found between maternal anticardiolipin antibodies and fetal loss. This correlation may have therapeutic implications. Keywords
