Abstract
The adsorption equilibria of normal paraffins (C12, C16, and C20) and isooctane at three different temperatures (30, 50, and 70°C) on type 5A molecular sieve are presented. The adsorption capacity of this zeolite was found to decrease with an increase in temperature and also with an increase in the carbon number of the n-alkane. The calculated isosteric heats of adsorption for these binary systems are also reported. Keywords
