Abstract
In the rat partially deficient in vit. E the length of gestation bears an inverse relation to the amt. of vit. E in the diet. Such partially deficient animals are unable to develop all the ova implanted, with the result that some of the fetuses are resorbed in utero. The prolongation of gestation caused by vit. E deficiency is apparently due to the resorption of some of the fetuses delaying the development of the others and this condition is an indirect effect, through the ovary, of ant. pituitary deficiency. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
