Abstract
A rapid colorimetric method for the detn. of Na was tested on urine and blood filtrates. Na is precipitated as the triple salt with uranyl zinc acetate. Color intensification is produced by the addition of (NH4)2CO3 and H2O2. The reaction yields a straight-line curve for concn. vs. optical density from 0 to 250 meq./1. Reading is done at 415 to 430 m[mu]. The reproducible accuracy is 3%.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
