Abstract
A resource room and special station program for seriously emotionally disturbed junior high school youth in St. Paul, Minnesota is described in this article. The author discusses the philosophy and programs of the Responsibility Resource Rooms and Resource Center. Based on her experience as administrator of these programs, the author notes those characteristics she looks for in evaluating prospective teachers. In a final section the author reports on a survey in which teachers of emotionally disturbed youth responded to questions concerning the types of pre- and in-service training most beneficial to them.Keywords
