Abstract
Rooks (C. frugilegus L.) successfully reared experimentally enlarged broods. There was no statistically significant effect of brood enlargement on the survival rate of the adults. Compared to the unmanipulated control pairs, the pairs given enlarged broods in the preceding year laid a week later and reared fewer young than in the preceding year. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
