Abstract
Cholesterol-4-C14 was injected intraperitoneally into toads, and 3[alpha], 7[alpha], 12[alpha] -trihydroxy-5[beta]-cholestanoic acid-4-C14, 5[beta]-cholestane-3[alpha], 7[alpha], 12[alpha], 27-tetrol-4C14 and 5[alpha]-cholestane-3[alpha], 7[alpha], 12[alpha], 26 tetrol-4-C14 were isolated from the bile. No evidence of the formation from cholesterol of trihydroxybufosterocholenic and trihydroxycoprostenic acids, which are the main bile acids of toad bile, was obtained. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
