DIVERTICULAR DISEASE OF THE RIGHT COLON

Abstract
A review of 20 cases of right-sided diverticular disease is presented with emphasis on the differential diagnosis. The significant findings of a diverticular abscess or granuloma consist of: eccentric, intramural, extramucosal or paracolic mass with adjacent spiculation, and at times extraluminal gas. The importance of detecting concurrent neoplastic disease is indicated.
