Abstract
Poly-γ-methyl-L-glutamate was modified by the introduction of -CC13 and /or -NH2 groups. Two kinds of polymer were obtained, and applied to urease immobilization. The enzyme immobilized on polymer containing -CCl3 (PCCl3) pendant groups retained more activity than that containing -NH2 (PNH2). Stability of urease immobilized on PCCl3 and PNH2 was 17 days and 19 days respectively. Keywords
