Abstract
Two experiement, alternating training days with test days, investigated the power of light increments and light decrements, respectively, to reinforce bar pressing in the rat. Both light increments (using a wider range of initial and consequent levels than in a previous experiment) and light decrements were reinforcing. In Experiment 1, scores of both experimental and control groups declined over 6 training days and over 6 test days, with the 2 groups progressively diverging. In both experiments, neither degree of change nor consequent level, separated factorially by manipulating initial levels, had a significant effect on the reward value of light changes. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
