Abstract
The authors collected data on 50 Vietnamese families living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by individual and group interview questionnaire. They also used interviews of all of the Vietnamese people who came to the local community mental health center and studied the records of the center and other local social agencies for sociodemographic data. They define a number of specific sociological stresses encountered by Vietnamese refugees but conclude that basically these people are adjusting well without losing their cultural identity. Keywords
