Abstract
A population sample of Greenland Eskimos was studied with respect to the inherited lipoprotein antigens Lp(a) and Ag(x). The frequency of the phenotype Lp(a+) was found to be 0.30 and that of Ag(x+) to be 0.84. The Lp(a+) frequency does not differ significantly from those previously known from Western European populations. On the other hand, the frequency of the phenotype Ag(x+) is among the highest observed, although it is lower than that reported by Okochi in Japan. This observation is discussed. Keywords
