Abstract
Moilanen I, Almqvist F, Piha J, Räsänen E, Tamminen T. An epidemiological survey of child psychiatry in Finland. In the pilot phase of the Finnish national epidemiological study in child psychiatry, chaired by Professor Fredrik Almqvist from Tampere University, boys were found to score higher on parents and teachers' questionnaires (Rutter 1978) concerning total psychiatric disorders and especially traits of antisocial and hyperactive behaviour. while the girls scored higher on neuroticism traits. Children's Depression Inventory (CDI) revealed no difference between the boys and girls.Keywords
