Abstract
Negative symptoms in schizophrenic patients can have many causes. This paper briefly reviews some of those factors which may contribute to negative symptoms apart from the schizophrenic illness itself. Making these distinctions is crucial for accurate diagnosis, management and prognosis.Keywords
