Abstract
Using KBM, perturbation technique, it is shown that the modulationally unstable domain in the (k- phi ) plane for the obliquely modulated ion acoustic waves is appreciably modified due to the finite ion temperature. It is also shown that in a collisionless plasma having small Ti/Te (0 approximately 0.1) may exceed the Landau damping rate provided the modulation is sufficiently oblique. Keywords
