Abstract
The electron spin resonance spin-trapping method has been used for detection of radicals in human low density lipoprotein (LDL) solution saturated with oxygen. The trapped radicals could be detected after about a day in an antioxidant-free solution. Two types of radicals are formed and stabilized in the lipid domain of LDL. The nature of the trapped radicals remains unclear:kinetic considerations suggest the trapped radicals to be of the LO- type, while the spectroscopic parameters are in favour of L- type radicals. Keywords
