Is the ascorbic acid content of the suprarenals and liver under the control of the nervous system?

Abstract
The ascorbic acid content of the adrenals of cats and of the liver of guinea-pigs, as estimated by the 2:6-dibromophenolindophenol method, did not change during stimulation or degenerative section of the splanchnic nerve or perfusion with adrenalin or acetylcholin in Ringer. It is concluded that neither organ acts as a reserve store for vit. C, and that their ascorbic acid content is not under the control of the nervous system.
