Abstract
The life cycle of Fibricola cratera was repeated. Adults and ova were obtained from the raccoon, Procyon lotor, and Physa gyrina was infected with the resulting miracidia. P. gyrina and I\ sayii were found naturally infected. It was possible to infect tadpoles of Rana pipiens, R. clamitans and Pseudacris nigrita tricerata but not adults of R. pipiens, Acris crepitans, Bufo a. americanus or fish. The metacercariae developed to adults in rats and a hamster (Cricetus auratus) but not a pigeon.
