Abstract
The distorted-wave Born approximation parameter is calculated for Li→α+d from three-body models of . It is shown that the usual approximation of by the ratio of the D-wave to S-wave asymptotic normalization constants breaks down in this case. Because of the model dependence of , its empirical determination should serve as a constraint on three-body models.
