Abstract
Adrenalectomized guinea pigs maintained on 1 mg. of DCA daily show increased susceptibility to anaphylactic shock. Pyribenzamine (P) has no protective effect, 10 mg. DCA only slightly delays the onset of shock. 5 mg. cortisone has no effect, but the cortisone-treated animals can be protected with P. DCA does not potentiate the effect of cortisone.
