Mild Cognitive Impairment, Dementia, and Their Subtypes in Oldest Old Women

Abstract
People 85 years or older are often referred to as the oldest old. This group is the fastest growing segment of the US population and is expected to increase in number by 40% during the next decade alone.1 Because the oldest old account for a significant portion of health care needs and expenditures, the expected rise in this population will have important societal effects on health care costs and caregiving.
