Spatial use patterns of badgers [Taxidea taxus] were studied by radiotelemetry. Results of the study, based primarily on den use by 5 females and 2 males, are reported. Male badgers (2) monitored between mid-Sept. and mid-Dec. occupied home ranges averaging 583 ha. The average size of 3 female home ranges (237 ha) was less than half that of the males. Badgers were principally nocturnal, foraging at night and remaining inactive during daylight hours in underground dens.
