Abstract
Washed cells from the 3 spp. of Brucella were incubated with glutamic acid, and the metabolites identified by paper chromatography. The results suggested a urea cycle in B. abortus and B. melitensis. Incubation with ornithine, arginine, and aspartic acid as single substrates confirmed this observation. Keywords
