Abstract
In accepting the opportunity kindly offered me by the Chairman of this Section to present the clinical history of a case of unilateral cystic kidney in a child of 4 months and 14 days, I am actuated by the hope that the rarity of the condition, at least as far as I am able to determine, may elicit a degree of interest which would otherwise not be merited by the report. The salient points in the case, briefly stated, are the following: The child, Freda W., female, born July 13, was the second child of German-American parents; from the time of birth until 2 or 3 days prior to securing this history she was seemingly possessed of perfect health. November 27, Dr. Stidworthy was called to see the child on account of vomiting and constipation, no evacuation of the bowels having occurred for nearly 48 hours. On the evening ofKeywords
