Abstract
The apparent frontoparallel plane (AFPP) is determined under three different conditions of vertical disparity using a two-alternative forced-choice experimental format. Representative data for one observer are given in which response to vertical disparity is found to lie in the range 6.25 to 8 minutes of arc AFPP rotation per percent vertical angular size difference. Differences between data from the three stimulus conditions are significant at the 0.05 level by probit analysis. The stereoscopic behavior of the subjects was found to agree with a systemsapproach model for stereopsis proposed by Ogle and Julesz. Keywords
