Abstract
A review is presented of recent work on the effects of finite cylinder length in Taylor-Couette flow. The central aim is to focus attention on features of this classical problem which have proved to be essential to the understanding of some rectntly discovered finite-dimensional dynamics. New results of an experimental study of one such phenomenon are then dimmed in relation to a speafic algebraic model.Keywords
