Abstract
Injection of the amino acids, except serine and cystein, leads to increased urea production in the 16 day chick embryo. For 1 mgm. of injected substance, urea increased from 0.09 in the case of alanine to 0.24 in the case of histidine. Ammonium carbonate production decreased and ammonium carbamate increased.
