Abstract
Mesoscopic fluctuations of the dipole moment and the polarizability of thin disordered films are theoretically studied. The temperature and magnetic-field dependence of those quantities are described. For systems where the electron density is relatively low (such as for semiconductors), measurement of these fluctuations is well within current experimental capabilities. Keywords
