Abstract
Studies of marrow under conditions of minimal circulating blood contamination indicate that in the rabbit, rat, and man there is a significant pool of reticulocytes in the marrow. These cells are approximately equal numerically to the number of nucleated red cells. Under certain conditions the entire pool may be shifted to the circulating blood. Keywords
