Abstract
Several applications illustrating the usefulness of the automatic preparative scale gas chromatography unit designed and built at Jackson Laboratory are described. The purification of one gallon of benzene is shown as an example of the production of comparatively large quantities of high-purity chemicals. Separation and purities of several fluorocarbons are cited as illustrative of the results obtainable with close-boiling materials and with isomeric molecules.
