Abstract
The effects of ribonuclease on the increase in length and appearance of cultured pea roots and on the extension and RNA content of 2-mm. pea root segments have been studied. Ribonuclease suppressed the growth of cultured roots and changed the rate of extension of excised root segments. Possible explanations for these effects of ribonuclease are discussed.
