Abstract
The market structure and performance of the Australian domestic air transport industry are largely determined by the Government's Two Airline Policy. Under this regulatory framework the Government has control over most factors affecting the provision of air services. This regulation and its resultant industry performance are subjected to economic analysis, where it is concluded that massive welfare costs are imposed on the Australian community. Keywords
