Abstract
We will consider a problem which arises in the theories of neutron transport and radiative (photon) transfer. We will consider, in a particular case, the random motion of a particle in a scattering medium and determine asymptotics for the probability distribution of the random variable for the number of collisions before exit from the medium. Keywords
